Knit Families Together
Knit Families Together is a brilliant fundraising idea encouraging those who want to get involved the opportunity to create knitted items to give in return for donations to the Refugee Welcome Trust.
You can knit as much as you want or set a limit on numbers. You can knit anything you want – you may find it useful to put examples of what you can knit for people on a photo sharing website such as flickr or on your facebook page. Keeping your items small will help, realistically hand knitting everyone jumpers is probably going to take too long, but good on you if you want to knit large things feel free.
Unfortunately we cannot provide wool, this means that 100% of your donations go to family’s who need it.
Gift Aid Guidelines
In order for us to be able to claim gift aid and have no tax worries on your donations there are a couple of rules we need you to follow:
*your knitted items are sent as thankyous for donating to the charity. They should not be offered for ‘sale’.
*please do not give recommendations for donation amounts, people are invited to donate whatever they see fit and can afford, we appreciate all donations no matter the amount.
